This Garlic Butter Parmesan Pasta is a simple yet indulgent dish, featuring tender noodles tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce and finished with freshly grated Parmesan. It's comfort food at its finest, ready in minutes and full of flavor.

Ingredients You'll Need



  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or penne)

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning (or dried oregano)

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: red pepper flakes, fresh parsley, or lemon zest


Cook the Pasta

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.

  • Cook pasta according to the package instructions.

  • Reserve ¼ cup of pasta water,

  • then drain.


Make the Sauce

  • In the same pot or a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.Add minced garlic.

  • Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (don’t let it brown).

  • Stir in Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes (if using).


Combine

  • Add drained pasta back to the pot.Toss with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese.

  • Add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.


Serve

Season with salt and pepper to taste.Top with fresh parsley or a little lemon zest for brightness.


Tip: Add sautéed shrimp, grilled chicken, or steamed broccoli to make it a full meal.
